Mango Market 2024: A Celebration of Seasonal Delights

From May 24 to 26, 2024, Kathmandu Fresh Bakery, with the initiation of Marketing and Strategic Director Ms. Unika Maharjan and Executive Chef Lokendra Yonjan, organized the Mango Market. This unique event, held at “The Main Street Artisan Café,” a sister company of Kathmandu Fresh Bakery, celebrated the delicious versatility of mangoes.

The Mango Market was designed to promote seasonal food and support local farmers in Nepal. In collaboration with farmers from various regions, we showcased a wide array of mango-based bakery and savory items. Our talented team at the Kathmandu Bakery Training Center crafted delightful creations such as mango ice cream, various cakes, desserts, cookies, muffins, macarons, sweets, and chocolates. Additionally, we introduced an assortment of savory items, adding a unique twist to the event.

This initiative aimed to demonstrate the potential of mangoes in creating high-value products, thereby empowering local farmers. By transforming a popular seasonal fruit into premium bakery and savory items, we highlighted the opportunities for sustainable agriculture and local entrepreneurship.

The Mango Market was a resounding success, with attendees appreciating the innovative mango creations and the event's focus on local empowerment.
